What is HIT?

HIT stands for Heparin Induced Thrombocytopenia. It is caused by the development of antibodies to Platelet Factor 4 complexes and is mainly associated with antibodies of the IgG type. Our kits are an Enzyme Immuno-assay designed for measuring heparin-dependent antibodies of the IgG isotype, in human plasma.

What is MonoStrip?

The MonoStrip kits include 4 individual 8 well strips (32 tests) where the Standard kits include 12 individual 8 well strips (96 tests)

What does 510K and CE/HCL mean?
  • 510K: 510(k) Cleared. Cleared as a medical device by the US Food and Drug Administration for in vitro diagnostic use in the United States.
  • CE: CE marked product for IVD use.
  • HCL: Health Canada Licensed
